Jesus said He came to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). Then He gave a mandate to the disciples to do the same. He sent them out into the world to do the will of the Father. Every christian has a ministry placed on their life. Some people the ministry takes them to far away lands such as Africa, Brazil or perhaps the Netherlands. However, at Heritage Family Resource Center we believe our ministry is not found oversees but rather right here in our own backyards.While our office is located in Thomaston, we serve all surrounding counties as well.
Thomaston, Upson County Georgia has one of the lowest economic values in the country. Like it or not we have people who are hungry, sick and homeless. We have individuals who cannot take care of themselves, not out of choice but rather out of circumstance.
HFRC is a pro-life pregnancy center that educates women who are pregnant on ALL their choices. helping a women make an infomred decision regarding her life and the life of her child is crucial. Then HFRC goes beyond that and helps to assist these women and families everyway possible to provide clothing, diapers, furniture and most important Jesus.
I am sure we have all been in a situation where we felt lost, alone and unsure of what to do. Having someone that truly loves you and wants God's best for you to stand by your side and guide you and pray with you helps these situations seem less burdensome.
It is our mission at HFRC to do as God has called us and serve this city and county by helping families to grow and maintain a healthy relationship with the Lord so that one day they can in turn help someone themselves.This means offering classes that teach how to parent according to God's word, pregnancy classes, lactation classes, post-abortion counseling and more.
